Miss Cosmo 2024 recently held an official press conference to announce the pageant's launch and diverse, exciting activities in Ho Chi Minh City and other major tourist destinations in Vietnam. Miss Cosmo 2024 has the participation of over 70 territories and nations around the world, with representatives from the countries set to arrive in Vietnam in mid-September 2024 to engage in the activities, especially the festival, which comprises a series of festival-themed events combined with fashion, heritage, and cultural exchanges from the North to the South of Vietnam. The semi-finals and finals of the pageant will take place in early October 2024.
Ho Chi Minh City, June 11, 2024, at Gem Center, Unicorp Joint Stock Company and Unimedia Vietnam Co., Ltd. jointly organized the Official Press Conference to launch the Miss Cosmo 2024 pageant and other essential information.
The press conference was attended by over 300 national and international guests from various fields. Present were Mr. Tran Ngoc Nhat - Head of the Steering Committee; Mr. Tran Viet Bao Hoang - CEO of Miss Cosmo, Head of the Organizing Committee (OC), Bui Thi Xuan Hanh - Miss Cosmo Vietnam; and Ketut Permata Juliastrid Sari - Miss Cosmo Indonesia; Ma. Ahtisa Manalo - Miss Cosmo Philippines; Saranya - Miss Cosmo Malaysia; Mbali Dlamini - Miss Cosmo South Africa; along with the national directors of participating countries; representatives of departments, agencies, national and international press agencies; and beauty queens of Miss Cosmo Vietnam titleholders and top contestants from previous years, along with other honored guests.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports approved Miss Cosmo 2024 to be organized according to No. 2233/SVHTT-NT dated May 31, 2024.

Over 70 nations and territories hold the licensee
The contestants participating in the competition are Miss/Runner-up/Beauty Queens, who hold the Miss Cosmo title of the participating country, have recognized achievements, and have been officially nominated to represent their country. The registration dossier follows the regulations set by the organizing committee, with information and complying with the current laws in Vietnam.
Despite being the first season, Miss Cosmo 2024 has attracted support and participation from over 70 nations and territories across the world, making it one of the few beauty contests to set a record for the number of candidates in its inaugural edition. This signifies the Miss Cosmo Organization's reputation, resulting in a broad portrayal of beauty and culture. At the press conference, the Miss Cosmo Organization also announced the official theme of the Miss Cosmo 2024 contest as “Vivid Vietnam” through a series of festivals from the North to the South of Vietnam. The activities of Miss Cosmo 2024 emphasize the message of green and sustainable living with the accompaniment of Nam A Bank, the official main sponsor of Green Official Bank, aiming to connect, promote, and enhance the image of Vietnam with its distinct beauty of the country, culture, tourism, and Vietnamese people through the enthusiastic participation and response from the participating countries and global audiences.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh: Cosmo Hello From Vietnam - An event hosted by the Trang An scenic complex in Ninh Binh and many other famous attractions consists of a series of activities: welcoming contestants, cultural exchanges, fashion shows, and heritage promotion. In the “Cosmo Hello From Vietnam” program, contestants will showcase Vietnamese cultural costumes designed by designer Le Thanh Hoa against the majestic background of Ninh Binh's limestone mountains and rivers. The local authorities and the Miss Cosmo Organization will co-organize this culturally significant event.
Bao Loc - Lam Dong: Best Of Vietnam Festival - An event in collaboration with the Doi Dep - Khong The Thieu Nhau brand and Hoan Vu Yen, hosted by Tea Resort Prenn with the participation of Miss Cosmo 2024 contestants, famous beauty queens, and runners-up, the government, etc. The event brings a complete experience of Vietnamese culture through festival activities such as Worshipping the National Ancestors, Vietnamese Tea Space - National Beverage, Three Regions Festival, etc., creating a unique festival atmosphere amid the Central Highlands.
Ho Chi Minh City: “Best Of The World Festival 2024” - A series of activities in Ho Chi Minh City, hosted by Gamuda Land, honors the diversity and richness of world cultures. The festival offers a unique platform to experience captivating art, music, culinary, and traditional performances from around the globe. Attendees will immerse themselves in authentic festival experiences from countries worldwide, savoring specialties, exploring traditional markets, and other exciting activities. This will create an atmosphere of global cultural exchange in Ho Chi Minh City. Additionally, Ho Chi Minh City will also host the national costume showcase, semi-finals, and final round.
In addition to the official festival events, Miss Cosmo will organize various online preliminary competitions before the contestants officially arrive in Vietnam. The preliminary competitions will include Impactful Influencer - Content creation based on the theme; Impactful Talent - talent casting; and Impactful Beauty - online interviews.
The national representatives will arrive in Vietnam in mid-September 2024 to participate in the schedule together. In addition to important activities, the contestants will compete in official competitions.
The Semi-Final night will take place on October 2, 2024, and will include segments such as Group Performance, self-introduction, Bikini Showcase, Evening Gown Showcase, and subsidiary prize awarding.
The Final night will be held on October 5, 2024, consisting of the Announcement of the Top 21 Bikini Showcase, the Announcement of the Top 10 Evening Gown Showcase, the Announcement of the Top 5, the Question-and-Answer Announcement of Top 2, the Presentation of reign plan – Interview and Crowning of Miss and Runner-Up. All competition nights will occur at the Phu Tho Sports Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.
The National Costume Showcase promises to be an impressive and grand evening with a theme centered on the spirit of distinctive festivals. Specifically, each country will bring their national costume to compete and showcase it during the competition night. The costumes should embody the festival spirit, traditional ceremonies, or distinctive cultural gatherings representing the unique national culture of that country.
All official activities within the framework of the Miss Cosmo contest will be live-streamed and continuously broadcast on the Miss Cosmo Digital ecosystem and the Cosmo+ platform.
