Judith Tai is currently a junior model working in Hong Kong. Although she is only 14 years old and has just started her modeling career, she has left a strong impression on the public with her radiant demeanor and impressive height. The junior model began trying her hand at modeling this past summer. Judith Tai shared that her parents dedicated a summer to letting her try out becoming a real model, and that was the opportunity that started her modeling journey.
Outstanding model kid with impressive achievements
Not only excelling as a model, Judith Tai also has an impressive list of achievements throughout her learning and development journey. Specifically, she began learning and becoming familiar with ballet at just 3 years old, and she spent 5 years training diligently. At school, Judith Tai participated in the tennis, cross-country, rugby, netball, and athletics teams and was appointed captain of the rugby team. Recently, she was awarded the Best Captain award.
She recently performed on the biggest runway during Hong Kong Fashion Week for emerging designers “Liang-Eighteen” and Novelty Lane. Although she had just started her 8-week modeling course, Judith Tai gained a lot of attention and experienced her first time on the runway at the Beauty and Wellness Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), with Murine Tsui on August 19. It can be said that this junior model has a strong connection with artistic activities, and with her talent and passion, Judith Tai has had many opportunities to experience and express herself.
Judith Tai’s huge inspiration
Judith Tai shared that she became familiar with artistic activities such as ballet, piano, and singing from a young age but only recently developed a real interest and love for fashion. Her mother was the one who inspired her in the art of fashion and modeling. In particular, the junior model stated: “I like to observe what people are wearing on the street and try to connect it to their professions. The relationship between fashion and people is a strong source of inspiration for me and will definitely help my performance on stage - when I see an outfit, whether it's an evening gown, sportswear, or casual attire, I can immediately imagine the vibe around it and can express that vibe on the runway.”
Whenever she feels discouraged and doubts herself, Judith Tai often looks to her idol, Eileen Gu, for motivation. Eileen's achievements and versatility are an inspiring example of how women (Chinese-American) can excel and achieve greatness, and a testament to her own hard work, talent, and determination. Eileen Gu's resilience has become a huge source of motivation for Judith Tai to work harder every day.
A “grown-up” model’s artistic mindset
Although Judith Tai hasn’t been in the modeling industry for long, she has already shown her maturity and growth by styling highly attractive outfits on her own, along with powerful catwalks. To achieve captivating runway steps, the junior model had to spend an hour each day walking. Transforming from a girl completely unfamiliar with modeling to a professional and highly regarded junior model is the result of continuous effort and diligent practice.
In the next 12 months, Judith Tai will represent the Murine Tsui Modeling School in various activities, and she hopes to use her personality and experience to influence other teenagers to lead positive lives - love, work hard to achieve what they want in life, so they won’t have any regrets when they grow older. To the young people who are also on the journey of overcoming challenges to reach their passions, Judith says: “Keep dedicating yourself and stay persistent - no matter how big the challenge, give 100% because nothing comes easy. Don’t give up, and the results will be worth it.”
