Gabby Windey and wife Robby Hoffman are channeling their inner Newlyweds.

After the duo tied the knot in a private Las Vegas ceremony on March 5, the Bachelorette alum recently shared how their secret wedding felt like a scene from Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey’s former relationship—and no, not their infamous “chicken of the sea” moment.

Indeed, The Traitors star and the comedian—who started dating in August 2023—revealed they evacuated to Las Vegas following the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, and the stressful situation reminded them they never wanted to leave each other’s side.

“It’s giving Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey when they divorced and came back together after 9/11,” Gabby, 34, explained to Cosmopolitan on March 5, referencing the former couple’s first breakup in 2001. “They were like, ‘No, actually, we do want to be together because the world is ending.’ It was just us two.”

Robby then shared that while the idea of getting married during a natural disaster “felt braggadocious,” she felt comfortable accepting Gabby’s final rose in a moment of crisis.

“We were half checking the news, half clutching each other,” the 35-year-old reflected on their marital decision. “We could have been fighting, but we felt like even through the process of maybe losing everything, we had each other. I hate when people are suffering and then we’re having a celebration, and it wasn’t that. It was like, ‘No, we actually want to be married.’”

Gabby—who called it quits with her Bachelorette pick, Erich Schwer, in November 2022—noted their wedding took two days to plan, and she shared a glimpse of their vows on Instagram. In the March 5 photo carousel, the newly married duo wore similar white outfits, with the reality TV star complimenting her lace dress with a bouquet of red roses.

The couple’s nuptials came as a surprise, considering Gabby revealed to E! News last September that they weren’t ready to walk down the aisle yet. However, she knew that her romance with Robby was meant to be.

“This has been the best thing to happen to me at this point in my life,” she said at the time. “I don't know if I’d be able to appreciate it earlier, so I think everything happens in time for a reason.”
