Aaron Taylor-Johnson can't help but marvel over his wife.

Especially on her birthday. The Avengers: Age of Ultron marked wife Sam Taylor-Johnson’s 58th birthday with a heartfelt message.

"Happy Birthday gorgeous!” Aaron, 34, captioned the March 3 post, which featured a photo of Sam doing the splits on the edge of a pool followed by a photo of the couple and four other shots. “Love spending every moment with you."

Over the years, the actor—who married Sam in 2012 after meeting on the set of Nowhere Boy in 2009—has shared insight into their life together.

In fact Aaron—who shares Wylda, 13, and Romy, 12, with Sam and is stepdad to her daughters Angelica, 27, and Jessie, 18, with Jay Jopling—revealed that before they met, the filmmaker’s "Still Life 2001" had had a huge effect on him at a museum as a child.

“I stood in front of that piece for the entire time," he said on an episode of Mythical Kitchen’s YouTube series Last Meals in December. “Whilst my parents walked on to the next room, to the next room, to the next room and then came back round."

 

However, the actor didn't realize Sam was the artist behind it until they had already started dating. He shared that when he found out, he realized he had already felt so connected to "the woman I fell in love with."

But while the duo has sparked criticism with their 23 year age gap, they are committed to blocking out the noise.

"It comes up on the outside perspective of people who don't know us," Sam told The Guardian last April. "We're a bit of an anomaly, but it's that thing: after 14 years you just think, surely by now, it doesn't really matter?"  

As he put it, it was "one of those slightly profound moments that happen to me."
