Ariel Tejada said doing Jenner's glam for the show was "really hard" without her longtime hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, who died suddenly on Feb. 22
Kylie Jenner's glam team remembered her late hairstylist following his sudden death.
Jenner, 27, attended the Oscars for the first time to support her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet on Sunday, March 2. While she looked as chic as ever with side-swept waves, she got glam without the help of her longtime hairstylist Jesus Guerrero, who died unexpectedly on Feb. 22.
"Today was really hard without you, but I know how excited you were for Ky to attend the Oscars," Jenner's longtime makeup artist Ariel Tejada wrote on Instagram as he shared a look of Jenner's final look.
"I felt your energy guiding us today. I hope we did you proud ????," Tejada continued of Guerrero. "We love you forever ????️."
Guerrero's family announced his death at age 34 in a series of posts on his Instagram Stories. His cause of death has not been revealed, but on the family's GoFundMe page, his sister Gris said he died "suddenly and unexpectedly."
Jenner shared a heartfelt tribute to Guerrero on Instagram following the news as she called him "a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love, and unwavering support" and said his "beautiful spirit will live in my heart forever."
"I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter," she continued.
"Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and I don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will."

Jenner's appearance at the Oscars, where Chalamet, 29, is nominated for Best Actor for A Complete Unknown, marks her first outing since Guerrero's death. She's been supporting her boyfriend throughout awards season, including at the Golden Globes and the 2025 BAFTAs.
She was not at the 2025 SAG Awards though, on Feb. 24, which occurred two days after Guerrero's death.
