“My Team Is The Leader” is a nationwide competition in Vietnam held by Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) to honor clubs of universities and colleges across the country. The competition also serves as a platform where the leadership spirit in each participant is ignited, guiding them towards their aspirations to become the future leaders of the nation. Within the scope of the competition, the powerful figures who cannot go unmentioned are the members of the judging panel, the ones who will identify the most deserving candidates for the "leader" role of universities. Among them, Don Cristobal is a prominent guest judge from the “island nation of love” – the Philippines.
“My Team Is The Leader” – Where leadership gets to shine
To have a successful career, every student needs a strong skill foundation, which is cultivated through their university years. During this process, clubs play an incredibly important role in helping young people discover their passions, develop their skills, and pave the way for future careers. Recognizing the significance of student clubs, Mr. Le Tran Dac Ngoc, President of the Global Student Fashion Week, organized "My Team Is The Leader", a competition to honor student clubs from universities and colleges across Vietnam, as well as identify the club that demonstrates leadership qualities in building community projects to make society a better place.
As part of the program, participant teams will undergo various rounds, including self-introduction, facing professional challenges, and proving their commitment to the community. Starting on December 1, 2024, the competition will bring together hundreds of clubs from all over Vietnam, competing for a common goal: the championship title with a total prize value of up to 1 billion VND. With such a grand scale and prize, the judging panel will have to be equally distinguished to find the most deserving champion. Among the panel of esteemed guest judges are beauty queens, kings, magazine editors, fashion week presidents, and other famous personalities from the global fashion scene, including Mr. Don Cristobal, an icon of the Philippine fashion industry.
Don Cristobal – Powerful figure from the “island nation of love”
Mr. Don Cristobal is a renowned fashion designer from the Philippines, a country known as the “Land of a Thousand Islands” and the “island nation of love”. Throughout his career, he and his collections have been featured at numerous prestigious events and fashion weeks. Most recently, he performed the opening act for Thailand Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2025 for the fifth consecutive year, as well as showcased his collections at London Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2025, New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2025, and Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week 2024. Additionally, in June 2024, Mr. Cristobal was awarded the Saludo Excellence Award for National Outstanding Fashion Designer of the Year in the Philippines.
Beyond his design career, Mr. Cristobal is a key figure behind many major organizations and events, both domestically and internationally. He is the CEO of Team DC Manila and DC MODEL PH, as well as the President and CEO of renowned fashion events like Philippine Pride Fashion Week and Metro Fashion Ball. He also serves as the President of large-scale events such as the Lustre Global Awards Philippines and the Philippine International Kids and Teens Fashion Festival. In addition to his work as a designer, Don Cristobal is also a professional photographer and stylist, known for creating captivating works that enchant viewers.
