On the morning of August 7, 2024, the signing ceremony of the cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the Global Student Fashion Week officially took place. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the university and Mr. Le Tran Dac Ngoc – Chairman of Global Student Fashion Week.
Global Student Fashion Week - Playground reserved for fashion training institutes
Recognizing the development potential and the necessity of professional playgrounds and stages, especially the appearance of a fashion week dedicated to students - the future generation of designers in the world, Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) has officially launched. With the mission to create a new era for the global fashion industry, Global Student Fashion Week focuses on students, promising to gather 150 designers from 30 training schools worldwide. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, a prestigious fashion training school in Southern Vietnam, is among the participating institutions.
On the morning of August 7, 2024, the signing ceremony took place with the participation of representatives from both units. From the university side were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh - Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quyen - Head of the Faculty of Architecture and Art; Master Chau Ngoc Lang – Deputy Director of the Enterprise Cooperation Center; Master Tran Thi Hong My - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Architecture and Art; Master Nguyen Xuan Phuc – Advisor of the Faculty of Architecture and Art; Master Huynh Thi Kim Xuyen - Head of Fashion Design Department.
From Global Student Fashion Week were Mr. Le Tran Dac Ngoc – Chairman of Voyage Group, concurrently the President of Global Student Fashion Week; Dr., Designer, Violinist Nguyen Quynh Nhu - Senior Advisor of the week; Ms. Truong Thuy Trang - Miss Celebrity Vietnam 2024 - Global Ambassador; Mr. Bui Quang Tuan - Mister Universe Vietnam 2024 - Global Ambassador; Ms. Bui My Duyen – Runner-up Miss Celebrity Vietnam 2024 - Global Ambassador, etc.

At the signing ceremony, GSFW President Mr. Le Tran Dac Ngoc shared the vision and mission of Global Student Fashion Week in developing the Vietnamese fashion industry specifically and the global fashion industry in general. Within the framework of the ceremony, Master Huynh Thi Kim Xuyen also introduced the Fashion Design program at HUTECH and some outstanding collections from the program in recent years. The students' designs are the clearest evidence of the university's prestige and training quality.
With a strategic vision, HUTECH and GSFW officially joined hands in cooperation, opening a promising new chapter for the global fashion industry. The signing event today, August 7, 2024, marked the beginning of the journey to accompany HUTECH students in conquering new creative heights, especially the prestigious fashion playground - Global Student Fashion Week 2025.
