These spring-forward finds had us pulling out our credit cards at lightning speed
There's nothing like warmer weather to inspire a closet purge followed by a little shopping splurge. And if you're looking for a quick wardrobe refresh, it's our job to help (literally). We spend a good amount of time curating our favorite seasonal finds and are not in the business of gatekeeping. Below are the pieces we'll be wearing on repeat this spring, from a butter yellow going out top (we're bringing them back!) to a versatile knit dress and more.

Brittany Talarico, Style and Beauty Director: 2024 was the year I started wearing cardigans as shirts, and now they are the most versatile tops in my closet. Since sweater weather extends throughout the spring here on the East Coast, I have even more of an excuse to invest in some vibrant cardis. This Boden style is an instant dopamine hit thanks to the "poppy red and sorbet pink" stripes. I also love the ruffle collar which makes it standout more from the other pieces in my closet. I plan to wear it buttoned up with light wash jeans and a cute pair of red ballet flats (I'm loving this Mary Jane style from Cole Haan).

Alex Apatoff, Executive Editor: My most toxic millennial trait is a complete inability to get rid of my sizable collection of cropped jean jackets. I know they immediately peg me as a mom in her late 30s, but I defy you to find another item of clothing more versatile or practical. What am I supposed to wear with a dress when it gets chilly out?! This spring, I'm making a slight adjustment to my wardrobe to accommodate the trends while still not having to give up on the most-worn item in my closet, and getting a work jacket from Alex Mill. The slightly oversized cut and longer length will look cute with dresses, tees and sweaters.
A Perfect Spring Dress
Ana Calderone, Senior Editor, Special Integrated Projects: Florals for spring? Not so groundbreaking — but give me all the gingham! I never get as many compliments as I do when I'm wearing a dress by Dôen (seriously, I wore the Marybell dress to interview Ina Garten and it was a hit with her and the audience). So when I spotted this navy gingham number, I couldn't hit "add to cart" fast enough. I can justify the price because their materials and cuts are so luxurious and flattering. The ruched bust and ruffle edge add just the right amount of feminine flair. And if you're just as passionate about the pattern as me, I also have my eye on this gingham jacket and mini dress set from Reformation.
A Versatile Knit Dress
Jackie Fields, Deputy Beauty Director: I'm never not in black (except for in this photo, in which I dared to wear blue. But I had to, it was Chanel). Seriously, though, it's part of my N.Y.C DNA, so I'm always looking for new pieces to spruce up my uniform. This piece does just that with a classic ribbed knit texture plus modern and oh-so-fun crystal petal shaped buttons (down the front and on the sleeves!) which dress it up. It gets bonus points for being both comfortable while having the perfect silhouette for work — or play.
An On-Trend Top
Andrea Lavinthal, Executive Director, Special Integrated Projects: When Timothée Chalamet hit the Oscars red carpet in a butter yellow suit, I went full-on Regina George. Yellow is *my* thing, Timmy! My love of sunny shades is well-documented (see here, here, here and here). And now that it's the hottest color of the season, there are so many yellow pieces that I'm adding to my collection, including this amazing ruffled Favorite Daughter top. I saw it first, Chalamet.
A Breezy Blouse
Michelle Lee, Editorial Assistant: Come spring, I love to bust out my bohemian-inspired staples. Flowy tops are so easy to style and wear, so when I spotted this statement piece from Unsubscribed, I immediately nabbed it. The tie-string back is perfect for letting that balmy breeze flow while the balloon sleeves make a statement. I love pairing it with some colorful capris or a flowy skirt. (Note: this top is so good, it’s nearly sold out, but Unsubscribed has plenty of similar styles that are perfect to wear to work or on your next vacation).
A Bright Bag
Catherine Santino, Style Writer/Reporter: As someone who prefers to invest in neutral colors in my wardrobe, I rely on accessories like shoes and bags to add some personality to my looks. For spring, this Longchamp bucket bag is the perfect addition. The color pops without being aggressively bright, plus it's small enough to feel like I'm getting in on the tiny purse trend but is still big enough to hold everything I need for a day (or night) out.
A Comfy (and Trendy!) Shoe
Hedy Phillips, Senior Style Editor: The absolute second the weather gets warmer, my feet are coming out, and I don't care who sees. With a comfortable shoe like these platform sandals, I can still do my regular commute (which includes multiple modes of transportation) and not have to worry about my feet getting tired. Plus, Hunter never lets me down in the sturdiness department, so these will last me into summer and beyond.
