The “My Team Is The Leader” contest is a large-scale, meaningful platform organized exclusively for student clubs across the nation. These clubs not only provide foundational knowledge but also serve as spaces for students to hone soft skills, foster creative thinking, build unity, and especially nurture leadership abilities — an invaluable trait for their career journeys.
With a total prize pool of up to 1 billion VND, the contest is expected to attract widespread participation from students nationwide, creating a lasting impact within the student community. It underscores the value of clubs as “guiding stars” in the academic environment. The contest also aims to spread a spirit of creativity and passion among the young generation of Vietnam, promising memorable moments and groundbreaking ideas.
Participants and alluring prizes
The contest is open to all clubs from universities and colleges across Vietnam, with a minimum requirement of 10 members per club. Clubs will be categorized into various groups, including culture and arts, sports, soft skills, academics, volunteer work, and other special clubs. This structure allows clubs to easily showcase their expertise and spirit, while fostering a healthy competitive environment across different fields.
The competition offers numerous major awards, including the Winner’s Prize, valued at 1 billion VND, which includes 100 million VND in cash, a championship trophy, gold medals, and a media sponsorship package worth 300 million VND from MGI Magazine. Additionally, the contest features runner-up awards and various special categories to honor clubs with outstanding contributions, such as Most Stylish Club, Most Popular Club, or Most Dedicated Club.
Competition rounds and international-level Judging Panel
The “My Team Is The Leader” contest consists of four official rounds. The first round, named “Who Are We?” is an online phase that will take place from December 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025, on the official Global Student Fashion Week (GSFW) fanpage, providing clubs the opportunity to showcase themselves through online submissions. Round 2, scheduled for February 2025, will challenge teams with practical tasks. Round 3, titled “Community Responsibility”, will occur in March 2025, where clubs will present their community contribution plans. The final round, in April 2025, will conclude with an awards gala in Hanoi, celebrating the achievements of the participating teams.
The judging panel includes top experts from Vietnam and abroad, such as Dr. Le Doan Hop, former Minister of Information and Communications; Dr. Thang Van Phuc, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; along with renowned designers, artists, and leaders from international cultural organizations like Mr. Bhukij Kong Gessarindha, Chairman of ALICIOThailand magazine, among other distinguished guests.
