After the success of Vietnam International Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024, MultiMedia JSC officially brought back Vietnam International Fashion Week (AVIFW) for the Fall/Winter 2024 season in Hanoi, from November 13 to 16. The event welcomed the participation of Miss H'Hen Nie, one of the most anticipated models.
H'Hen Nie, a beauty icon and source of inspiration, shone as the vedette for Happy Clothing by Thao Nguyen during Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024. In a striking deep lotus pink design, H'Hen Nie transformed herself into a "rose" right on the stage of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024.
The striking deep pink hue of H'Hen Nie's dress made a powerful impression from the very first glance. The short dress featured a regal high neckline, resembling a royal crown, and a dramatic cape that exuded power. When she reached the center of the runway, H'Hen Nie stunned the audience by transforming the short dress into an elaborate layered gown, mimicking hundreds of rose petals. This shift from a youthful short dress to a grand, layered gown created a visually captivating stage effect, emphasizing H'Hen Nie's beauty and elegant poise, closing the show to the audience's delight.
Behind this stunning "transformation" moment was H'Hen Nie's dedication to practice. The day before the show, she struggled with the dress's transformation technique, failing multiple times. The designer's team stayed up until 5 AM to adjust the dress's structure, employing advanced techniques to ensure the gown unfolded as desired. After getting her makeup done and preparing, the beauty queen rehearsed the dress revealing numerous times backstage to anticipate any potential issues during the show.
With a queenly style and confident demeanor, H'Hen Nie captivated the audience. This unique outfit was not merely a fashion design but a high-level artistic performance, showcasing Thao Nguyen's creative talent in transforming every detail of the garment.
Designer Thao Nguyen explained that most designers would choose lightweight fabrics for a soft effect. However, she "challenged herself" by using very thick and heavy velvet. She also adorned the dress with multiple layers of 3D roses, enhancing the visual impact. Thao Nguyen shared that she spent several months tailoring the dress specifically for H'Hen Nie, accentuating her perfect measurements, particularly her small waist and long legs. Ultimately, H'Hen Nie's appearance with the transformative dress concluded the show with a flawless and emotional display, creating a highlight moment for the fashion night.
In addition to H'Hen Nie's design, the collection showcased outfits inspired by the beauty of fallen roses in autumn, using gold and deep red as the primary tones. All of this contributed to the success of Vietnam International Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024.
