According to data from the island city People’s Committee, it hosted more than 5.9 million tourists throughout the year, up 7.1% year-on-year, including 963,000 foreigners. Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island, now houses 274 projects in the field, or 86% of Kien Giang's total tourism projects. In October, it was voted the second most beautiful island in Asia, after Bali of Indonesia, according to readers of the American magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
