In recent years, Vietnamese nail art has developed in both styles and affordability, playing a part in defining a generation’s modernized sense of fashion and beauty.
Back in 2012, Bazaar's Digital Beauty Director Bridget March called Vietnamese manicurists “the best nail artists in the world”. She suggested that nail arts in Viet Nam represented “a way of life for the girls of all ages” - from teenagers to the elders - that can be found in budget salons with exquisite quality.

The comment was made more than 10 years ago - but it is still legitimate. Vietnamese nail arts are internationally recognized, not only with salons spreading from the United Kingdom to the United States but also with nail artists making their way to the world’s leading nail magazine, namely Quinada (Dang Ngoc Quynh Anh).

Nail art is the creative procedure of painting and decorating nails using colors, charms, and even 3D techniques. According to Sheen Magazine, the exact origin of nail art is unclear, but it has appeared in ancient Egypt, Babylonia, and ancient China since 5000 BC.
In Viet Nam, nail art is a popular and affordable form of beauty treatment. In recent years, it has been popularized by Vietnamese KOLs, influences, and celebrities.

One of the most sought-after Vietnamese nail artist, Quinada captured international attention after her collaboration with Vietnamese rapper and songwriter Suboi (Hang Lam Trang Anh) and L’OFFICIEL Vietnam. The photoshoot that features Quinada’s nail art was titled “MARS’ and brought to life by L’OFFICIEL Vietnam’s Creative Director Alex Fox (Vu Anh Le).
