Bangkok City International Fashion Week (BCIFW) 2025 is scheduled to take place on December 6–7, 2025, on the 2nd floor of Building E, CDC Crystal Design Center, Bangkok (Thailand). The event will gather numerous brands and designers from various Asian countries. Among them, the brand BENT by Malaysian designer Benjamin Toong will present its new collection titled “IGNITE”, marking the next step in the brand’s journey of creativity and international integration.
“IGNITE”: When fashion awakens the inspiration for creativity
BENT’s Founder and Creative Director Benjamin Toong shared that “IGNITE” was inspired by his own story — a journey that began with a simple passion and an unshakable belief in fashion. The core message of the collection is embodied in his favorite quote: “A single spark becomes a vision. A vision becomes a revolution in style.”

The designs in “IGNITE” draw inspiration from the intersection between modernity and Eastern culture. Each outfit combines refined lines with bold silhouettes, expressing a spirit of freedom, youth, and vitality. BENT aims to create pieces that are not only visually striking but also tell the wearer’s story — a story of courage, creativity, and the will to shine.
Remarks from a resilient designer
The brand BENT was founded in 2017 by Benjamin Toong, who had spent many years working as a model trainer in Malaysia. With a solid background in performance and runway presentation, he possesses a deep understanding of the connection between body movement and clothing, between emotion and design lines. This unique combination of stage sensibility and modern aesthetics has quickly made BENT a standout name in the contemporary Asian fashion scene.

Over nearly a decade of operation, BENT has appeared at numerous prestigious events such as Paris City International Fashion Week (PCIFW), Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) from 2022 to 2025, Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week (BKIFW), Malaysia Kids Fashion Festival (MKFF), Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week (VIJFW), and Global Junior Fashion Week (GJFW). With each appearance, the brand consistently reinforces its creative vision — bringing a modern Asian spirit closer to the international stage.

The cast from Runway Productions Malaysia as companions at BCIFW
At this year’s Bangkok City International Fashion Week (BCIFW), BENT will present its collection “IGNITE” in collaboration with Runway Productions Malaysia, a modeling academy and management agency based in Kuala Lumpur. The lineup of models promises to bring diverse styles and perspectives, reflecting the brand’s spirit of inclusivity and openness.
Shae Chin, the winner of Malaysia Supermodel Search 2025 (MSS2025), will make his international debut in Bangkok — a significant milestone in his modeling career. Accompanying him will be Sherry Aljeffri, a veteran Malaysian actress who continues to be active in film and advertising at the age of 76, exemplifying lifelong passion and an unceasing desire to learn.

Young talents Tim Tieh and Fang Xin, both winners in the Teen category of Malaysia Supermodel Search Kids 2025, will also step onto an international runway for the first time.

In addition, Pn Sri Karen, who has previously appeared at Paris City International Fashion Week, and Giordon Wong, a titleholder from Silk Road Fashion Week, South Korea Fashion Week, and runner-up at Taiwan Fashion Week, will return to the stage, showcasing the unity and shared spirit of the new generation of Asian models.

The Runway Productions Malaysia team — including Jervis Tan, Natasha Love, Brandon Teoh, Beckham Chen, Benz Chen, Anson Tan, Dylan Koo, Bryan and Ms. Goh — will also participate, bringing youthful energy and a strong sense of teamwork that embodies the vibrant Malaysian runway spirit.

The presence of Runway Productions Taiwan: Spreading regional talents
Another highlight of BCIFW 2025 is the participation of Runway Productions Taiwan, featuring a lineup of talented child models including Rose Lo, Jeannie Chang, Joy Lee, Alec Chen, Wendy Tsui, Lynn Chou, Erica Hsieh, Sherry Liao, Winnie Lee, and Chris Chang. These young talents have gained experience performing at various children’s fashion events across Taiwan and Asia. Their appearance alongside Malaysian models embodies the spirit of cultural exchange in fashion, where national boundaries are blurred through the universal language of artistic expression.

With “IGNITE”, BENT continues to pursue its goal of developing a brand that embodies an Asian identity, where cultural diversity serves as a wellspring of creativity. Benjamin Toong shared: “Asian fashion is evolving rapidly, and every creator can contribute to shaping a new image of a region rich in identity, openness, and progress.” BENT’s participation in BCIFW 2025 promises to bring a refreshing perspective on Asian fashion — one where passion, individuality, and collaboration blend seamlessly in every step on the runway.
