Designer Thao Nguyen’s “Rosy Fall” collection - 2024 Vietnamese fashion’s love song of the fall 

 

The collection is inspired by chilly afternoons, warm golden sunlight, and the beauty of roses falling in autumn, evoking nostalgia, fading, yet beautiful. The main colors of the collection are gold and red velvet, suggesting luxury, elegance, but also lightness and allure. This is also the beauty inspired by Hanoi's autumn. Thick materials like velvet and tweed not only provide warmth but also highlight elegance, contributing to a unique style for the wearer. Each piece reflects meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of design, from the stitching to the patterns, all creating the collection's perfect beauty.

 

 

The collection is a combination of classic and modern elements, bringing a sense of sophistication. The main motif of the collection is the rose, a symbol of beauty. Hand-embroidered rose patterns, pleats, and handcrafted pink stones resemble flowers shimmering in the late autumn sunlight. Actress Lan Phuong, born in 1983, is a familiar name to Vietnamese audiences during VTV's prime-time drama slots. Not only does she possess outstanding acting talent, but Lan Phuong also leaves a strong impression thanks to her diverse transformations in each role, from humorous and gentle to deep and complex characters. The projects she has participated in have left a lasting impact, such as her role as Mai Lan in Co Gai Xau Xi (The Ugly Girl), the scheming Dieu in Ca Mot Doi An Oan (Life Full of Hatred), and the cheerful Ha in Gia Dinh Minh Vui Bat Thinh Linh (Sudden Family Happiness). Over the past eight months, Lan Phuong temporarily paused her artistic activities to focus on maternity leave and self-care. After a long break, she returned with a fresh look, drawing attention as she ventured into modeling. Lan Phuong revealed that she lost up to 22 kg, regaining a slim figure and confidently striding on the runway.

She appeared as the first face opening the show alongside VFC beauties Hong Diem, Quynh Kool, and Mu Tat. Lan Phuong mentioned that it had been two years since she last returned to Thao Nguyen's runway after giving birth to her second child. She shared that the runway and Thao Nguyen's collection brought back many emotions for her, saying, "The first time I modeled for Thao Nguyen was in 2022. Last year, I received an invitation, but due to morning sickness, I missed the opportunity. This time, returning to the runway feels very different. I feel less nervous, more confident, and able to go with the music."

 

 

In the red velvet dress, Lan Phuong exuded elegance and allure, highlighted by hand-crafted 3D rose details, symbolizing the gentleness and fragility of autumn.
